X2, Dave needs to hear this more often, especially when his workload gets up there!
Well done evryone!

I have just bought myself the Series II manual CD from the shop area, and while I was at it I thought I would have a further poke around and see what else Dave (Incisor) has on here.
This site is a veritable treasure trove of useful and incredibly well priced trinketry, and to top it all off the money we spend goes back into this site.
That in itself got me thinking... I am a member of many forums (including some non-public ones restricted to clubs or organisations I belong to) but none of them have the same level of community spirit that this one does.
I honestly think that without this site I would have sold my Landy or rolled it into the bush and forgotten about it. The amount of information, advice, encouragement, amusement and kinship I have got out of my fairly short time as an AULRO member is absolutely mind boggling.
I don't think forum is the correct terminology for AULRO. This is truly a community and nothing less.
I can honestly say that I have never opened this site in order to find something out and been left wanting - either it is already here somewhere or somebody knows as soon as you ask. I am sure many of you will feel the same.
I am sure you will also agree that if you take the time to notice how much effort must go into maintaining, improving and administering the site it really is a work of art and undoubtedly one of the best managed forums on the net.
With this in mind, I felt compelled to post up my gratitude - publicly - to Dave and of course all of Admins and Moderators.
For the love of Landrover... THANKYOU!

I agree whole-heartedly and which is why I am happy to subscribe. I think the advice on here saves me more than the subscription costs.

hear, hear shonky, well said that man.
I think that I'd be happy to sit down and have a beer with( almost) all people on this site . You can just tell it's a bunch of nice people here.
And this community certainly "keeps the bastards honest" in regards to dealers, servicers and suppliers. ( a borrowed phrase only - no dispersions on the many mechs. and vendors who subscribe here who are all top people of course )
well said we agree wholehartedly

I think all members would agree with the sentiment of this thread and I am certainly no exception.
Thanks,
Steve.
