MIG/TIG Welding Courses @ TAFE

Hi Guys

The sheet metal Fabrication courses that were due to start 1st Semester 2009 is now kicking off in 1st semester 2010

They're only 1 year behind

All the equipment has finally been moved to meadowbank from North Sydney ,so I'll post up the dates as it gets close to enrolment next years and if there is anyone that is interested and has one free night a week come along and join me, it will be fun making stuff

I'm new to the forum

- found you by doing a search for TIG Welding courses in Sydney and wound up on this forum.

I've been wanting to do a course on TIG welding for ages but it's proved difficult to find one that isn't in the middle of a much bigger TAFE course. Strangely there are lots of evening courses in Melbourne (Swinburne, etc) and Brisbane, but none in Sydney

Anyway, the sheet metal course Disco_Owner is talking about sounds like just the thing

. Could you please give me a bit more information on what the course covers and when it is likely to kick-off?

P.S. I do have a friend with an old Rangie that I've considered buying so I'm not a complete interloper ;-)

Hi Medium_Al and Welcome to the forum;

Should you wish to be enrolled in the same course that I'm Enrolled in Course No: 9279 - Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade

These Classes start the 2nd week of February , so come up to engineering and Fabrication school "building D" on Monday the 8th of Feb and fill in the forms and you're set to go.

Fees are $343.00 per semester or $686.00 full year.

Edit: Al , I forgot to mention , you'll need a set of Tigging Gloves & a Helmet, any welding shop should be able to help you with them , if you ca't get a helmet in time let me know and I can bring my Helmet for you to use on the first few nights till you obtain a helmet.
