I've been using a rolled up towel for the last 2 years and while it took a few nights to get used too, I haven't had neck problems since ( was getting very bad )

Placed under your neck when laying on your back, or under your head when on your side. This keeps your spine in its natural position, and can also be positioned to give your neck a bit of a stretch! Now that feels really good

Usually when I wake in the morning, the towel is on the floor, but I haven't noticed.

A towel is also a lot cheaper than your designer pillows, easier to clean, and when your camping it can be used as a towel

A Vietnamese friend put me on to this, and her young son was so tough, he didn't even use a mattress when we went camping just slept on the plastic floor!

Good luck with it - Bruce.
