    Coffeeeeee!!!!!

Coffee, graded by national brews I have drunk:

Dutch - Filtered, strong = good

    German - Naaah...still learning.

UK - You have to be joking....

French - Too weak for me

Spain - Filtered and espresso = good

    Portugal - Great espressos

Mozambique - Not much better than sitting in a sidewalk cafe with an 'espresso duplo', a glass of water, and a pastry. Just watching the 'chicas' walk by.

East Timor - Timorese coffee has a distinct taste. Enjoyable, but not an 'everyday' coffee for me.

It is definitely the southern europeans that have wrapped the coffee trick up and, hence Australia, particularly Melbourne, has benefited.

Theres nothing like good freshly made coffee
I grind beans and seal it, keep in fridge for 4wD trips. Use a expresso pot that has the handel melted off and replaced with a wire thing like a billey handel to use on the fire, this works a treat Just the thing to finish a meal off with, or whenever we like.
    No cr.p coffee for me

BBC, it's also about justifying the $$$ through unreasonable thought processes.

Gets pretty funny now when I discuss trying to justify to the missus about buying a halfway decent coffee machine (Rancillio Silvia) and great grinder (Rancillio Rocky) - those first few cups cost best part of a grand each!! with each use the price fell by 50% per cup, sometimes by 10 or more cups in a day. These days the depreciation rate per cup has the price down into the $0.05 range so it's time for an upgrade... hanging out to trade up to a dual boiler unit with temperature control

It's got pretty bad for me, I can taste the difference between coffee fresh roasted and coffee that's 4-5 days old... home roasting is the next logical step, but that one can wait another year or two...

Turkish style coffee is very good, nice and strong

As for Gloria Jeans coffee, Wendys is 100% better and that's no glowing report, the trouble with Gloria Jeans is they try to be too fancy.

Oh i'll have a double decafe low fat skim milk double choc half low froth blah blah blah and a straw
    Cheers Baz.

Think how much better it would be if you ground each day, not well in advance. I grind enough each morning to take to work for the day.

I only use a plunger at work but am considering taking my spare moka pot to work.

Spot on Ron, only pre.grind to take on trips, It keeps reasonably well in the engle fridge, alwayse grind fresh at home, well not quite, I have a cafe/restraunt and the coffee gear is only a fiew seconds away, Our coffee is roasted in Melbourne and grown at the Atherton Tablelands in Qld. This is the best coffee we have used so far and apart from the tast the best thing is its Ausie.
