If LR made an engine with the 4BD1 bottom end torque and the Tdi middle and top we would never need another motor. Pat

See the problem there is, if LR made it, they wouldn;t do 3/4million kilometres

Isuzu bottom end and Tdi top? Surely you're forgetting that that engine already exists - and goes by the name of - 1HD-T

As mentioned above - sounds like you need to tweak your pump.

I drove a mates tweaked 300Tdi home for him one day when he crashed his mountain bike and had to go to hospital. The bottom end felt dead compared to my na 3.9, and you really had to rev it to get it going on the highway. I was glad to get back into my county.

Same here I drove a tweaked 300tdi and you had to ring its neck to get the benefit. Dave next time we are on a club run take my rangie for a drive. R380, 15psi through 35,s on 4-11 diffs it goes very well. Way more bottom end than a 300.

    Dave,

I agree with the other Justin. I drive heaps of 300Tdi's, I even tweak them for performance. NO way do they compare to my turbo intercooled 4BD1 RR for driveability ON or OFF the road.
Dobbo was on the money. You can't stop these engines offroad. I got Discopete to drive mine through some of the White Timber trail last weekend, and he immediately noticed the bottom end difference to his 200Tdi.
Turboed and intercooled, with the correct gearing, the Isuzu has very few peers.

The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈

    Totally agree Justin

We ran a trip a while back and had a nice rock climb with some wombat holes as a test track. We put first timers and people with not a lot of experiance in our rangie and they could,nt believe how much torque it had and it handled obstacles.

    The other justin
