We came accross the same Holden later on that day on the Frelander trip, he was still cleaning out his air box with a very unimpressed girlfriend sitting in the passenger seat!!

I have a sticker on the back of my Defender which reads
"Don't Follow me(Landrover oval) you won't Make it:
In the pic below is a "drowned" Holden rodeo 4wd who attepted to follow me through a little puddle during an early morning Powerline mud bash yesterday.
Snatched him out and his two mates took him to find a mechanic....water had just poured through his air intake drowning the motor.
Maybe the "Hippo Trip" saw it still stranded there.

Maybe he needs to buy some ''Big ****** tyres'' DirtyDawg.I tried out mine this morning at the Kal mudflats. Pat
One thing that always surprises me is the conceived fact, that once one owns a " (insert asian vehicle make) " 4WD, it is immediately a vehicle capable of climbing Mt Everest and "swimming Lake Argyle"
The dickhe*ds in 4WD's far out number those who know what they are doing.
Fortunately I don't see many Land Rover owners doing the same routine. Maybe common sense is involved in the selection of vehicles, hence the lack of "rabbits" in Land Rovers.![]()

We had a very good demonstration of jackassery in 4wd's at the end of the day on the powerline trip, there were 3 utes with people standing on the trays, which in it self isn't so bad, unitl they tried a hill climb that I had to winch a Series Truck up after it put a back wheel in a hole and nearly rolled.
Unfortunatly these are the sort of people that remove themselvs from the gene poll in a accident, which then gives the "do-gooders" and "aggressive enviromentalists" ammunition to have tracks closed.
This in turn leads to more regulation of 4wding, and other recreational activities. I'm not completly against this if it means people act a bit more responsibily, but all that usually results is more stress on open tracks, more illegal activities, more accidents, and more noise from the above mentioned "concerned members of society".
Until people start taking more responsibility for their actions instead of trying to find someone else to blame for their own stupidity I doubt that light at the end of the tunnel will appear.
Ummm rant over....
