    Wild at Heart-ABC-Landy spotting

The BBC series "Wild at Heart" set in Africa is screening on ABC1 at 7.30 pm on Sat nights.
I spotted at least one Series Landy - there may have been more.
Pity the actors kept referring to it as a "Jeep" - you'd think the BBC would know better.

YouTube - Wild at Heart: Jeep crash scene

The show itself is not too bad if a bit twee - a bit like "McLeod's Daughters" set in Africa. It's amazing how similar the light and the bush is to Australia

I've watched it twice. As you say it is just another sopie type show but being set in africa makes it a nice change. Plus its a British show and I like those.
All the 4wds I've seen in it have been series LRs I think.
Except the publican's Isuzu Pickup on the last show.

They are sponsored by Nissan , and cover up the Land Rover , also as you say refer it as a jeep. The Nissan logo is very large . BBC's way of showing ads

I enjoy the show and I could definately live there.
Last Saturday was the beginning of series 2. It ends with series 3 but I
dont know if they will show S3 this year ?

I have series 2 and 3 on DVD.
A good program with a few nice Landrovers, ( dont care what they call
them, We know ) and Amanda Holden is cute.

Been some good Defenders on Dr Who, the last couple of weeks also.
    Cheers.

    Wild at Heart.

Very weak show and I only watch it to see Amanda and the country. Don't care when they call old Landrovers Jeeps either, just shows their ignorance.

I must have been watching another version of the show. I didn't see any reference to Nissan at all, and have not seen any Nissan vehicles used there either. Series LR's, a couple of old Landcruisers, an Isuzu ute and the old yank tank, but no Nissans.
    Cheers .........

    Thumbs down SAFETY SAFETY SAFETY

I think you have all missed the most obvious stuff up on this film clip (and I know there are many shooters on this forum).
I clearly see a round being chambered and then he just places the rifle with a chambered round in the back of the vehicle (and one would assume by the angle of placement that the weapon is still pointed to the front of the vehicle)

Yes I know someone will say he could have unchambered the round etc etc but this is defeating the point of these "warm & fuzzy" mini series etc that always pride them selves on being politically correct and taking the moral high ground on all issues.

The movie director deliberately took the time to show us the round being chambered to make the actors intention known so there is a moral responsibility (being a family show) to also show (to the general public) it being made safe and placed correctly/securely in the vehicle.

Tell me I am not alone, or am I just too anal

I wouldn't like to be sitting in any vehicle with a loaded SMLE rolling around in the back of it full stop....
