    If you see my previous post in this thread the underlay or whatever it was looked like the stuff removalists use.

    That plus the carpet and then the mats meant insode the main noise was the stones hitting the rear wheel arches which did not have all that protection.

    Know any removalists you could ask for a sample to try?

    I used foil faced closed cell acoustic foam glued to 6mm gasket cork which in turn was glued under the floor panels and transmission hump. Got both items from Reverse Garbage, a recycling co-op in West End, Brisbane. They no longer get the cork sheets but do have the foam from time to time.
