    Well done.
Mine too ran much better after the same work.Tweak the wastegate for good results!!!
STILL SUCKS THE DIESEL .Guessing the MAF is faulty.Looking at borrowing a MAF of my mates TD5 130 and seeing if it gets different readings on the Nanocom.Should give an indication if its faulty.

Thanks mate, definately a love hate relationship with the disco during any maintenance work under the bonnet!!!!
I think my MAF needs replacing too, i've cleaned it a few times with good short term results. How do i adjust the wastegate correctly? which way do i need to adjust the screw thread, slightly longer or slightly shorter?

Oh and happy birthday again How has your day been?

    Relaxing
Wastgate, undo the locknut and screw it closed with finger pressure,re tighten locknut. You will soon know if you turned it the wrong way,NO BOOST till 4000rpm.It makes a hell of a difference, especialy if yours is a manual.
    ENJOY

    Glad it ended well.
Wait till you have to do the fuel pump.
    My hands are still sore.

Yeah thanks mate, can't wait I've come to realise there's no rushing any jobs to be done on the Td5, all that results is frustration, less skin on your hands and usually more time retrieving a bolt/screwdriver/ring spanner from some previously unseen part of the engine

So your fuel pump worked out okay?

    Angry Diesel Everywhere!!!!!Exxon Valdez Style....

    Not a happy chappy,

Drove out this morning saying to my wife, look no leaks. Dropped her at the train station and drove home.
Somewhere on the way to the station the diesel return pipe from the fuel cooler popped off and pumped diesel out all the way home and all the way down the driveway of the block of units i live in, guess who's spending the morning cleaning
