    Smile New Landy

I like it .On a test drive it performed well but I agree with some posts on 4 cylinder diesel engines. Years ago ( operation iceberg I think it was called ) Solihull dieselised the 3.5 V8 It was scrapped why only the gods know. Can anyone elaborate on "why"

    Disappointed?

No.....I have one unlike many here who don't have one but seem to be disappointed.

Disappointed because it has all that electrickery black box stuff?

No.....without that stuff there wouldn't be a new one to own.

Disappointed because it has a small capacity diesel motor?

No......It out performs the Tdi Disco. Who really wants to be first to the next red light anyway?

Disppointed because it doesn't have the front flaps?

No......The heater and the AC work and it doesn't leak.

I could go on but fundamentally:

Am I disappointed because it isn't a real Defender?

    No.....because it is.

I was under the impression that all vehicles after 2003 or whenever had to be OBDII compatible - doesnt that let you hack into the system or is it purely fault codes?

according to the people that make scan gauage that is correct from what they told me it becasme a regulation that ALL cars had to have the same compatibility

it alows you to look at fault codes and clear them as well as look at other information to do with your engine

    i'm looking into getting one
