This testing is quite cheap ~$50
or you could find someone on the forum who works for one of these laboratories and may be able to help you out .

It is important though that you do not go cutting and drilling until you make sure. Asbestos sheeting is fine until you start mucking about with it.

the friggin shed isn't worth 50 bucks

Colourbond sheeting is also relatively cheap. Seal the damaged edges and just screw it on over the top of the existing shed walls.

part of the probelm is i think its asbestos so to get rid of it would cost a fortune but its not worth spending too much on repairing.
cladding would be nice may be cehquer plate in true land rover tradition or wheel trims like a usa out back store. classey

it might be a **** house shed but its still got to look good in my back yard
so patching it up with something that would look totally out of place is out of the question........

You could make it look good, Colourbond can be powdercoated any colour you like, even Hot pink to compliment your disco's blue dash lights.

There's a lot of paranoia about asbestos. If you don't cut it with a saw, keep it sealed, it's gunna be safe. Once it's buried in a large rubbish dump it will never be disturbed again.
