    Synchronized Swimming - "I just DON'T get it"

    Sorry to all fans of synchronized swimming but..."why is this 'sport' in the Olympics".

    Well, I don't believe in the Olympics at all but as one of the commentators said they don't don't believe shot put has a place but who are they to take that enjoyment away from someone else considering it gets about 1 hour coverage every 4 years. I imagine that's just like the sync. swimming.

    Synchronised swimming.......Choreographed drowning more like, whereas the shot put has a lot of history and is a carryover from the ancient games.

    One likes what one does I suppose.

    Ask the Yanks!

    They put it in for the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles, a throw back to US Olympic hopeful and LA native Esther Williams, who had a film career with the style.

    It was about the only sport they could find that had any theatrical association. They would have put in Movie Stardom as an Olympic Sport if they thought they could get away with it!

    You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

    actually if you stare at it long enough it looks like they are all wearing gum sheilds.....maybe they are not so good under water after all
