If Elliot Way gets shut down, you can still get through via Bago State Forest through the Buddong Road and Maragle Powerline Trail. However please be careful not to cut it up too much if it is really wet.

Other option is going to Batlow, go across to Talbingo via Yellowin Access Rd, up the Highway and then onto Lobbs Hole/Ravine Rd.

Both of these options are the four wheel drive options, and both can become fairly difficult dependent on weather conditions at the time. However both these tracks are absolutely brilliant with some great views if you are commited to giving them a go.

As I said above though, if the conditions are that bad, please don't tear up the tracks top get there, as they would've run the snow plough up the Snowy Mountains Hwy and you can always get through that way.

East Bago Powerline Rd is currently closed, and Browns Trail is that muddy that you'll just dig it up with the sliding etc (I was up there at the start of the week).

If you want some idea of the area, have at the trip report section for NSW. I have two threads there at the moment: http://www.aulro.com/afvb/nsw-act-re...ly-2008-a.html
    and http://www.aulro.com/afvb/nsw-act-re...-aug-08-a.html

Treads also has this thread: http://www.aulro.com/afvb/general-ch...-were-off.html

    Hope this helps some

    Cheers
    Chris
