			TD5 Exhaust

What benefits are to be had changing the TD5 exhaust? My disco has the catalytic converter and rear silencer, i removed the middle silencer ages ago.

I'm thinking of going for a 2,5" mandrel bend exhaust with no cat and and 1 hi flow muffler (or no muffler at all and see how noisy first).

What are your thoughts folks, who has changed their exhausts and what did you do? What benefit did you see and most importantly, what did it cost?

 Thanks all, Phill

Mine was already changed when I bought it. 3 inch system all the way with only a rear muffler. I beleive it should be better but have no idea.

the original size of the td5 zorst is 70mm so if you go to 2.5'' you'll be downsizing.
remove the cat or hollow it out and leave it there at least it ''looks'' legal, install a vortex muffler in the center and leave the rear resornator. the std LR system is mandrel bent and stainless so there isnt much need to replace it unless you going to 3''.

 cheers phil

Two biggest things you can do is to replace the centre exhaust with a straight through pipe and also replace the downpipe with a de-cat unit.

Dont know the legalities of either in Oz?

Removing both de-restricts the airflow and allows the turbo to spool up faster. Engine is thus a little more eager to please.

We sell lots of both here in the UK.
