You just reminded me one of the Water tanks will be about to overflow and that's not good considering it may not have an overflow port in it yet..... better go let it drain.

JD how things have changed, last year you were knee deep in dust!!

can;t quite quote the official figures, but for here on the hill during the low ( the sun has come out now so I think its stopped well not really I think we are in the middle now)

from my gauge this morning 55mm in almost 24 hrs, not much but when you consider the ground has been at saturation point for months now, a lot is running off. And I knew this was going to happen as I pumped up last week and filled the house tank.

Last year? Last week! Before the rain on the 31st of August, there had been little significant rain since February, and that was followed by very hot windy weather. The rain a week ago just soaked straight in, and when I went into town on Wednesday I was kicking up dust.

Since this morning it has continued raining, and we have now had an additional ten millimetres, making a total of 16.5 so far.

G'day All, It's raining here (no kidding you say LOL) I'm on night shift it rained o/night on and off, it hasn't stopped all day thus far, not sure of the O/nite reading, my backyard is under water at the moment, I will have have to don some wet weather apparell and head out into it, with my pump. I got drenched yesterday driving the project home from Dungog (no doors/roof etc) and damn cold too, so far this year we have recorded 29" of rain, we really don'y need this, shame we can't direct it about the place to where it's needed anyway cheers Dennis

Another 30mm in the gauge this morning (and still raining). This means that over the last two weekends more rain has fallen than in the entire period since the first week of February.

    Tony,

That lot will probably take a week or so to get here, but I hope it is not enough to flood the river - I don't want to have to repair the bridge approaches again. The river gauge at Elong seems to have stopped reporting yesterday afternoon, but was slowly rising then.

Rained heavily here all Wednesday night and all Thursday, with intermittent rain on Friday. I was caught in an enormous downpour at 1.30pm Friday on Loganlea Road and the Pacific motorway whilst returning home from the Zulu Deltas. Now, Saturday morning, is bright and sunny with a strong breeze.
