Two snatch straps...one for toyotas and one for patrols...don't want any cross contamination or interbreeding.![]()
The basics... Snatch Strap (and shackles), Shovel and Jack
All of option 1 above plus winch gear
Mate! I could recover the Titanic with what I carry!
SFA, someone else will have some
My vehicle is unstoppable, so I dont need no stinkin' recovery gear

- Snatch Strap
- Winch Extension
- Tree Protector
- Drag Chain

Long Trips i add
- Tools
- Usually Borrow a Hand Winch (If by myself)
- Shovel

What extra I would like/should to carry all the time:
- Permanent First Aid Kit
- Fire Extinguisher

2 x snatch block
Asstd. rated shackles (dunno how many are there)
Hi-lift jack
Hi-lift wheel lifter
short chains and "fittings" to turn hi-lift into hand winch
2 x drag chains (see above)
Hi-lift bullbar lift attachment
shovel
Ladas' front recovery points
2 x rec. hooks on bullbar
rear towbar rec. attachment
.... may or may not be "recovery stuff"
bottle jack

Normally I am always in radio contact with base. But normally have jumper leads and snatch strap. If I am trying to get somewhere then the chainsaw is your best friend for trees over the road.
2x 3.2t shackles
1x Snatch Strap
1x Tow Strap
This is in the Patrol, and it's all we need around the farm. If I take it 4WDing (which I don't do often as it's our only working vehicle) I usually go with someone who has additional gear.
When I replace my Fairmont in a few months (Prob with a D2) I will kit it up properly (slowly, I'm poor...)
