good value for money imho

I most likely will get these in 33x12.5x15 (quoted $260ea). Heard all good things about them.

255 85 16's are $207 each

I'm thinking of the Maxxis Bighorns too, or the Federal Couragia MTs, both around the same price.

last sat i was out with a GQ with those in 31's about 40%worn, snatched him 4 times, dont know if they were bighorns but they were maxxis mt's. Didnt make much sense to me because I have HT's and I was expecting him to save me all day!

I've recently put Bighorns on my Disco in 245/75R16. I love them! Very quiet (for an M/T) on the road and awesome off it. Airing down to 20Psi is plenty for the steep slippery stuff, And I've just been leaving them at 36Psi for the mudholes I've been playing in lately

I was worried about their handling on wet bitumen, and even thouugh it's been bucketing down for the past few days I've had no problems at all.

IMHO, not quite as good as an MTR, but MTRs aren't made in 255/85 and Bighorns are cheaper.

Great on and off road. Staked one and punctured another <3 weeks of ownership, but both repaired.

i've got buckshot on my V8 D2. They are a little noisy on the road at low speed. Anything over about 20kmh i dont notice the noise. I've had them out in Toolangi through savage mud once with no traction issues at all. Got slightly stuck once but that was clearance only. I'm very happy. I wanted the bighorns but couldnt get them in time (i tore the sides out of two Coopers). So i settled but so far its been successful.
