We are talking about a 95MY Defender?

My 98MY Defender still has the cap with 2 prongs and not a screw on cap. Screw on caps are for Td5 and the new TDCi

Now if it was a Disco...
Along those lines, but in relation to the original thread ... I just walked into the largest local servo and said ... "Hey cobber, I think I left my filler cap on top of the bowser" To which he replied ... "Here, help yourself" Then handed me a box with a dozen or more to choose from ... I now have a standard screw on type in the kit as a spare ...

I may have one in the shed. I ended up with one by mistake they sent me the old pronged type and it was not worth sending back.. I will have a look. If I find it it is yours for postage. Will have a look shortly.
Sorry I had a 97 Disco 300tdi and it had the same cap as the TD5 Defender.

I just rang roverparts this morn and he's checking if he has one in stock.....Yours would be magnificent if it turned up.....I'll stall RP on his and keep the glad wrap and rubber band on mine until you've had a dig in your shed

Found it last night but was bed time and I am now back at work. It is definately the pronged type, keyed and brand new from Allmakes UK.
Let me know your address and I will drop it in the post. I can get the number off it if you need it. It is RTC and then a series of numbers.

You watch, I have had it sitting in the shed in sealed packaging for 2 and a bit years now. I will give it away and end up with a tdi Fender in the next few years.
I ordered mine out of the UK (with some other gear) and the dipsticks sent me the wrong one and was not worth the postage to send back.
