    Brake pads

I have had heaps of probs with squeeking pads lately in the TDI fender (110) The front are new so I pulled the rear Pads out to have a LOOK. Apart from the glazing on the crap pads that some one put in before me I noticed that one of the pads had worn very uneven. Is this a prob with the piston not applying even presure to the pad or is it due to crap pads.

I replaced the front with bendix 4x4 pads 2000km ago and no probs so I will use the same for the rear but dont want to put them in if the piston is not working quite right.

Oh and the discs look fine so I dont know if machining is necessary?

    Any pointers or pad recomendations.

    Thanks in advance.

When you say wears very unevenly do you mean one side is more worn than the other or one pad has uneven wear ?

I have used Ferodo (sp?) for years with no probs, also bendix have never given me an issue. If it's a good known name imho it should be fine.

We worked with PBR and they manufacture brakes. They showed me the factory lines where the same brakes they made went into Toyota packaging as Repro or somesuch home brand. Exactly the same brake pads. As with most things I would only avoid anyhting really cheap and chinese manufactured.

    Regards

    uneven wear

the wear was on one pad only and it had worn on one corner of the pad while the other side /end of the pad was almost new.
Thanks for you advice on brand.
