You're up early
LR & Jag purchase by Tata needs paying for, and it would seem they are having a bit of difficulty doing so...
Maybe they could lower the prices and sell more?

Mate, it's the best part of the day, just about to do some gardening (not off-road gardening this morning either - real gardening)
the last thing I heard was they were selling assets to pay for it. LR is only a very small piece of the TATA pie.
one does wonder how JAG can lose so much money,,

Nice - it is good to be outside this early, I remember when I used to enjoy mornings. We're 3 weeks from our next baby, so my wife isn't sleeping well. I reckon I could sleep till midday.
Am up now preparing for church.
Certainly hope Tata isn't regretting buying Landrover. My other thought was, since Jag AFAIK made such a contribution to the suspension set up on the Rangies/D3 etc, what would happen if Jag was split from LR? Does LR rely on their boffins much?
cause they been building unreliable pommie cars since the 1960's compared to the Japanese, Germans and now Koreans
cause BMW and FORD found the companies to be under captialised
cause the cost of developing new models to compete in specialist market segments is uber expensive
best thing they can do is shut down Jaguar and sell it to the Chinese like they did with Rover as the Chinese market is brand status orienated not quality motivated
start producing a 4wd that is designed for the third world market in simplistic mechanical reliability
