Sorry to read about Bundy mate.

Necessary, as you say, but heartbreaking nonetheless.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

Yep, and as someone once told me:

"They're only on loan to us".

    Thanks all.

    Hey Mike,

A couple of months ago, I went to see a psychic. Imagaine my surprise when she mentioned a dog I had who she said had passed away about a year ago. (Which he did). She then said he was still with us in the house in spirit form. Well, I don't know how much to believe in this sort of thing, but it certainly took me by surprise. So if you believe it or not, it may be a comfort to know that possibly our dearly beloved pets are still with us! Could be just a lucky guess or a coincidence, but she had no idea we were animal people. Freaky aye!

My ex took most of the photos with her but there was a brilliant one of Bunz in my very first 4WD - a BJ70 Cruiser - she was maybe a year old. The passenger door is open, she's in the middle of the 1 & 1/2 bench seat with a six pack next to her and a look on her face like, "well come on, let's party!"

I just went outside and saw a shooting star - I guess she's just letting me know she got where she's going.

    Hi Panda
Well I think there are a great many things in this world we don't know enough about and probably never will. I think there are people who are more open to things that happen beyond our five senses, who knows? So I guess what you say doesn't surprise me and I know Bundy will always be with me. Cheky but gentle and incredibly loving, more than one person commented that she had the wise eyes of an "old soul" - pehaps when the wheel turns, we'll meet again.

    Rainbow Bridge

So sad to hear of your loss.

Noticed this " ode" at the RSPCA and it applies to all us animal lovers

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

And the other piece of poetry
If there are no dogs in heaven then when I die I want to go where they are ??
