I don't think we have the right size whole saw, so it looks like it might have to be the chain drill method, or it might be worth buying a whole saw seeing we need to make two snorkels

So was that just 3" stainless tube and if so, how and wheredid you get that for $100.
Great job BTW.
A. You can get UV stabilised PVC pipe, we use it all the time on the golf course as well as most storm water PVC is UV stabilised as it runs out side the house in the sunlight most of the time.
B. I would be inclined to use Poly though and fill it with sand, heat it with a heat gun and bend it around a mandral to get you shape, this would negate the need for any joins which will be where you end up getting water in if you do.
C. Go buy a hole saw to cut the hole, measure twice and cut once and as in the above post, Tape the panel with masking tape to prevent the paint from getting all scratched up and chipping too much.
D. I think temporary snorkles look crap but who cares if it is only on the car when it's swimming, they are better than putting something on that may look crap all the time as do some of the D3 ones on the market.
E. I think PVC and Stainless snorkles with several joiners look a bit budget but if thats why your doing it then there is no need to worry about it, the worry should be, "Did I do those hose clamps up properly as the bonnet goes under water
F. I think that exhast tube one on the Deefa looks great and would be great to put a donaldson on the end of and make some more room under the bonnet for other add ons![]()
I went through the fast flowing Goulburn River a few weeks ago in the Pajero with water over the bonnet and no snorkel.......and not one person got a picture!
I did have a michelle's sacs water blind on, I might be an idiot but I'm not stupid!![]()
