    electric mirror prob for D1 help!

    i have disco series 1 with electris mirrors
    but the only work going down , if u know what i mean, this happens for both L & R.
    has any one had this prob before?

    i think it may be a faulty knob..

    if its common to both mirrors sharing the one switch.....i think youve found the problem.....



    if you keep wiggling the switch in the up position....will it make any contact at all.....
    even for a split second....?

    no not at all. i played with it a while ago and got them to work now they only go down towards ground .

    ill have to chase up new switch does any 1 know how much they should be?

    If your careful, you can pull the switch apart and clean the contacts. It does come apart.

    Hi Glenn,

    I source all my D1 spares now from ebay or ebay UK. Dirt cheap. Mirrors and switches will be found there and replacement is easy as long as you take your time and do it methodically. I also snipe them to save driving the price up. PM me if you want to know more.
