At least it's all behind you.
Last car of mine I wrote of I couldn't look at it. Crawled out of the wrock looked up at the bus and just turned my back on it.

    Hope things continue to improve.

I know the feeling all to well mate. Been trying to do some work on it (switchover the snorkel, dual battery set up etc) and just cant do it.

Might just have to get stuck in, be sold soon so won't have to worry about it anymore

    Thanks

Hi Jock, I hope that things keep on the up.

You know that your bad luck started when you bought NZ from your dad

"And dad leant me his Defender while he went New Zealand for three months. Which I ended up buying off him."

What on earth possessed you to do that!
    Best Wishes,
    Peter

70000km! It must be the lowest mileage Tdi in existence. Enjoy it. And go easy on the chequerplate.
We just bought one 51k still has OK sticker on transfer case, never been "onroad" 10yrs of going across one paddock homestead to cattleyard. He was that fastidius about it he had the timing belt changed at 40k just to be sure and while he was at it new clutch wheel bearings h/d steeing box new brakes suspension bushes etc, just to be sure. The thing is seriously in better condition i think then when it was new. All for the princley sum of $16k. He said goodby to it by giving us a full tank of fuel and a box containing 6 oil filters, 4 fuel filters, 4 air filters, 2 of each drive belt and oil for a full change of everything. To say we are stoked with it is an understatment, it's my wifes and she loves it so much she won't even let me drive it, makes me realise what my Disco went like 300k ago.
Sorry to bring that up in your thread but i'm just so excited.

Good find mate, well done. You're a lucky man (to have a wife that loves Defenders and a low milage Tdi)

    Thanks mate
