Defender TD5 bulkhead vents that slam shut at 110 kph with a bang that makes you think something has blown up. I know it's going to happen but it gets me every time.

On the D3 , the front seat rails , if something falls down and works its way to where they are bolted thru the floor, its a mission and a half to get it out, took me ages to get my garage remote out when it went right to the back corner.

On the D2 , that bloody oil filter.

    Cheers Ean

The device that switches the hazard lights on everytime I go over some bad corrugations.

So sick of having to shut everything down then restart to turn them off. What fool invented this and why?

Last weekend it was the battery box.

I'm tipping next weekend it may be something to do with the headlights if my relay kit arrives.

In other words, whichever part of the car I am working on.

It's letting you know it thinks it's had an accident, you'll think it's the best thing ever if you do crash and it stops the vehicle catching on fire with you and your family trapped inside, slowing down a bit will stop it happening. Pat

Agreed Bob! ...One of mine is facing the shed at the moment, hasn't had a view of the outside world for a while. I can feel the grim looks/vibes coming in from the lounge room!!

The Td5 oil filter is a mongrel esp. with the second battery tray in close proximity , but I am getting annoyed again with the rear door. a while back i fixed the mechanism by adding an additional tension spring to firmly re set the handle after operating. But of late even this isnt keeping the door latched unless set to lock. Not sure now how many handles and locks have gone in. Coincidently it seems that when the rubber grommet on the outside begings to perish the lock plays up. At least without a barrier installed I can keep it locked and still get to stuff.
