G'day everyone.
It's been too long. This is my first visit to AULRO for about 6 months or so.
Finished my thesis and therefore my studies in archaeology (second life), no more research at night so I can do some fun stuff (and work).
The old Turtle is still in storage (waiting for the land lord to give me the garage) so not much happening there.
The Flandie is undergoing some much needed surgery (new radiator and v-belt tensioner) as well as some odd pieces here and there. Finally getting around to fitting the roof rails and A-bar (the plastic one, the Handbrake didn't want any pipework on the front so that was my only choice) as well as fog and driving lights will go in hopefully before Chrissy and the holidays. Looking at getting alloys (16s) to replace the steelies when the time comes to replace the Cooper ATs (50K so far) and perhaps a lift but reading the spacer fitting post got me thinking a little bit more and doubts sneak in...
Been camping in the Blue Mountains and did some much needed dirt road driving... nice to get back into the bush (not that I didn't get into the bush in the name of archaeology, I did, but that's another story), get the Flandie dirty and realise some nice shovel/axe holder could be useful.
Anyway, good to be back.
