    TD5 EGR Alert

Working with a Land Rover Mechanic in getting a EGR bypass kit together.
Was in there yesterday to get a price and he rang around to 5 suppliers and no one had any but gave a retail price of $380.00
He needs one for his 110 TD5 so he will knock one up over the X-Mas break and show me.
Told him about AULRO, so he may get on line and join up, so that he could get an idea how many people would be interested.
Anyway will update when he gets back to me.
So anyone who was about to order from the UK like I was Hang 10.

They have them at Rovacraft, Madmans (The Entertainer), Tombie2 has a group buy of them and also Discowhite makes them too, that's who i bought mine off, all are around $60 to $90, you just aren't looking in the right places

I have been thinking about fitting one for a while now....can someone who has first hand knowledge let me know, Does it make much difference to the performance?

Not a power gain as such, just runs and idles smoother, less Turbo lag.

As said previously, not a 'power gain' as such, but towing my camper (about 1000kg) up through some fairly steep hills just after fitting I found the car just did it all easier, could be the turbo lag is much improved so the power is delivered more smoothly as someone else said.

Me not being as clued up as some others here I won't try to explain it other than
    D4 SDV6, a blank canvas

Got mine from "Tombie" TRT SA the EGR kit was easy to fit to my 2005 td5 Dual cab defender along with a remap going from 90 kw's to 130 kw's, smooth acceleration thru all gears, no sign of turbo lag, just pure enjoyment....the lad certainly knows what he's doing!!!!., take the plunge and do both....gaz.

I have a Disco White one. Easy to fit. I did mine to clean up the inlet system. Didn't even look for any improvements.
