Probably a sign of the times ...

Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......
There are a couple of minor players in the motor manufacturing industry which are in big trounble and have similar track records.[Say Land Rover and DCs' Jeep].
If they were to do a major revamp in quality control, reliability, durability, good parts back up combined with competitive parts pricing and with their franchised dealers also locked in to quality repair work/competitive pricing then their fortunes would change overnight.
They would instantly be the popular/trendy brands in the market and the companies pofitability and long term future would be guarranteed.
But I'm not holding my breath. Consumer opinions and experiences don't seem to count for much in todays car world and they wonder why we withhold our cheque books.
