Disappointment - couldn't get to mount disappointment

Anyone know how to get to mount disappointment. Went for a cruise around yesterday, went up "mountain track" [not rocky track] to top of Mount Hickey - talk about rocky!!!

After having a cruise around - went to intersection (corner) of board track and mt dissapointment track, and could not find the lookout for the life of me. I took off down some tracks which were a bit unloved, but they went out on a flat track, definately not uphill. There was a view at the end, but could not see the city. Where is mount disappointment? Anyone know?

Mt Hickey (firetower) is more in the Broadford/ Tallarook area.
    37deg 10min 38secs South, 145deg 9min 19secs East.

Mt Disappointment is further south by around 10kms (guessing), East of Wandong.
    37deg 25min 36sec South, 145deg 8min 12secs East.

A map would possibly be a good help!

I seem to recollect that Rooftops have one that covers both those areas?

Google maps in fact shows the relationship between Board Tk, Mt Disappointment rd, and apparently Mt Disappointment itself.

My apologies, not making myself clear. Yep big day, I did both areas.

The area I am talking about is the corner/intersection of board and mount disapointment roads. This is near the hume/hovell camp site/information park and blairs hut. The link (although a great idea) did not work for me, but upon checking google maps, could not see board road. I checked further and found this

(sorry, if you scroll to page 4 you will see what I mean)

which frustratingly shows I was in the right spot, just could not find the mountain. Surely others have been here?

Do a Google search on Mt D, and you'll find a bit of stuff. From what I gather it's a bit like Mt Kozsiusko - just the highest spot (hill) on a high range. Not the typical soaring mountain that we usually see.

The DSE track notes for the area are also pretty good.
