The only possible excuse is that he is new to LR's - hopefully he will learn the Defender cult waving phenomenon. Anyone remember those old fashioned hands on a pivot thingos trucks used to have? I reckon non wavers should have a mandatory fitting.

Maybe he was new to Land Rovers and hasn't worked out yet that he can actually take one hand off of the steering wheel with out crashing !! Using all of the road in a long drawn out fish tail is normal.

The "same direction" rule only applies in built-up areas and dual carriageways. On outback highways you can exchange waves in either direction but on a dual carriageway you still risk driving side-by-side and the aforementioned awkwardness arises.

    You must wave!
It was one of the first things my wife loved about the Defa was the waves we would get.
