So what happened? What is your defense and how do you propose to prove it?

No idea, wife just rang and gave me the good news, i very rarely speed as my 20 year fine absence proves. It would only be while overtaking if at all but otherwise rarely go over 103/104 on the freeway.

You can write in and say you are very sorry and out of character as your 20 year history shows. They will waive the fine.

I thought that was every states rule As long as you had not had a fine for a certain amount of years then you could usually get let off. The only usual problem is they are reasonably slow to answer and you often had to pay the fine and then write in and then they send you a refund. Of course this may have all changed. Oh and was as long as you were in he lowest speeding bracket too.
