    Cityview 4x4 Park

    Hi

in my introduction I asked if anyone knew anything about Cityview 4x4 Park. Here's the answer.
cityview is no longer, Peter the owner, has down sized the park from about 1300 acres to about 500 acres. He's still operating but under a different banner. I think he calls it Brisbane 4x4 playground. $20/vehicle, and $5/adult to camp.

    So there you have it..

Not quite the story I have. The previous owner is in no way associated with the new park and I gather it is a different block of land.

It is due to open soon - by Easter it says. Here is some info from another forum.

    Cheers, Steve

Scenic Rim Adventure Park, Brisbane's Closest 4WD Park will be opening for Easter and will be developed over the next six months. The tracks will be marked and the map will be finalised.

Toilets and Showers are expected to be finalised by Wednesday next week.

There is mowed camp sites with 2 Dams for swimming.
The tracks range from AWD to Comp with 3 tracks closed and require permission only to drive.

    What 300+ said...

AFAIK, the person who owned/ran cityview is apparently serving a 6-year jail sentence.

The owners of the other park have no association, and it is not the same property.

EDIT: 99.99% sure this is the guy...

Are we completely sure that's the guy! I mean are we 100% sure this is the person who used to own Cityview - becuase if we are not 100% certain that this is fact, then we should be very very careful about posting links to news articles relating to people being jailed for crimes.

Perhaps the moderator should remove the post if there is uncertainty of the accuracy of the identification of the person relating to the news article.

Well a quick ABR lookup confirms that the Cityview 4x4 park was, in fact, operated by Marshall - and the property address is Lot 52 (number 0) Swan Gully Rd....

...but that doesn't necessarily mean that it is the same Peter John Marshall, there are many of them.

As has been said there is a new park just up the road from the previous Cityview... the new park is

    Scenic Rim 4WD Park.

The owners of Scenic Rim have no association and never had with Cityview... they only purchased the land a few weeks ago and it will be open Easter as has been stated.

We're running a trip out there over easter for a good looksee.

As far as Cityview and it's previous owner are concerned... lets just say all reports strongly suggest it's true.

It was confirmed on outerlimits by several people that they are one and the same...
