    rim choices

What are the advantage/disadvantages of using tubeless rims against having tubed rims? Also do Rangies (in particular) handle differently between having 15 or 16 inch rims.

Reason being I'm setting the car up for the cape trip, so will be a lot of road but plenty of offroad also. Currently have 31/10.5/15 on cheviot alloys (tubeless) fitted but these tyres will be dead before the trip. I also have a set 3 spoke vogue alloys (tubed). Either way I'm going to need a new set of tyres.

It has been suggested that a mud tyres would be the most appropiate given the terrain being covered.

One advantage of the cheviots is that they have a different offset giving a slightly wider track.

Thoughts &/or suggestions on the rims please.

Run the cheviots with a muddie as big as you can go on your set up. Maxxis Bighorns have been getting a good wrap(a mate of mine runs them and loves them). Hope this helps
