Have you driven it yet? 318's are pretty slow (not compared to a Landie I guess!).

Once you get that badge looking at you from the steering wheel, you forget how to drive....My Mate had one as a hire car, and nearly killed the both of us. It was slow, cramped and uncomfortable too.

Give me my Volvo back anyday.

I'm trying to talk her out of it.. It would not even clear our drive way let alone plug through the mud when it rains.

Says she would be happy with the Mitsu wile it's reliable and the Rangie when its built up and finished. Not sure how it will be as a daily driver being a blown 8 though

In the ideal world I'd get her a Rangie Sport but can't extend my self to the $$$$ unless a miracle happens.

This could all change again tonight though

Some ladies change their mind like the weather can these days.

If the beamer comes looks like the Mitsu goes. Probably the most trouble free vehicle we have here so may be like jumping out of the fry pan into the fire I seem to think

I don't know what differences there are between bmw models but I drove a 2003 318i..... It had to be one of the most uncomfortable and gutless cars I have driven. It was manual and even when you revved it hard it just didn't inspire anything.... The pedals were soooo close together so I had to take off my shoes to drive it... Also squashy inside the cabin.

I did like the tv in the dash though so when I was out side waiting I just watched grumpy old men

I think over all the are a good reliable car.... the people I know with them have not had any issues but..... I never really got why someone would buy one except for image.

There would have to be much nicer cars for around the same cost. So, I may be looking at if your wife wanted sporty, image, comfie....??? And narrowing it like that.

I'm really adamant to axe the 318 idea. Just not practical here BMW's are nice but any thing under an X5 wont cut it here. Please don't mention Toyota's On principal

Tough,Reliable,Soft, Comfy....... 4BD1 powered LSE soft dash

Should be able to knock one up for around 15k
