    What are your thoughts ?

    Hi guys

    2 weeks ago while looking at carsales, I found this 300tdi Disco , the guy selling it is local and I've had a look at it , it is a very clean/tidy unit.

    I'm thinking about setting this up as my outback tourer and for obvious Reasons a "white" disco is ideal for my application.



    as it stands I'm Only considering Buying it and throwing all my accesories from my existing 300tdi Disco at it.

    King and Bilstein Suspension
    Maxidrive rear
    Rear Bar
    Bullbar
    diff guard
    EGT gauge
    rear shelf
    roof rack
    Flares
    F/R 4.11's.
    dual battery
    Traxide lighting upgrade kit.
    so on and so forth
    and possibly 255/85/16's tyres

    Only 1 small problem

    it's AUTO ..but with a different Turbo exhaust manifold and some serious tweeking it should make this baby go a lot better. I've driven it and it is a "Pig"

    As strange as it may seem , I'm only considering change over only because of the colour. It's crazy I know . a Paint Job would be cheaper

    My advice would be to keep you current car as your are familar with it. You know when and what has been done and all it's little quirks... Not really much point in getting another car which you would have to spend considerable time getting to know well enough to do serious touring when you can just paint 'Hi-vis" stripes on your current 300Tdi (fluro orange of yellow would be good)

    Or how about reflective tape? then you can peel it off when you come home

    Hi Vis yellow reflective tape 600mm wide x 1 metre will set up back $6.50. That will make u stick out like a sore toe

    Apparently the car's been serviced at service intervals by bruce Davis , the guy selling it says he has all the Log books for the vehicle etc , Prior to that it was service by Alto , but as far as the Vehicle servicing goes I'd trust that it would be up to standard.
