    Non LR....Ford car question...door locks

    G'day All,

Not that I could probably do anything ...but worth a shot before taking to a dealer. We have an XR6......always been a great car...never missed a beat. When you lock the car.....the passenger rear isn't locking? Once you open it...it opens up the other locks.

Scary thing is we don't know how long it has been like that. I thought maybe it would set off the immobiliser, but it just cancels out as the other doors unlock. Anyone heard of this...or have an idea of what might be the problem. Thanks in advance........oh and will tackle the "get a Holden" sorry Mick...beat ya ,

    Regards

Yeh happened to mine. It will be the door actuator an easy fix at home mate. Yes even for you just take the door trim off and unbolt the actuator and bolt the other back in.

    Stevo,

google Fordforums, Fordmods or similar. there are a few sites (ford obviously) similar in nature to AULRO. You can search their sites for similar probs and hopefully a DIY fix

Very simple Stevo - why try and fix it - its a FORD at the end of the day, even if you parked it in the middle of the shopping center with keys in it - no one would steal it,

Good idea as well...didnt even think that there maybe forums for other cars......it is SWMBO car, only go to this or 4WD sites. Will check that out as well unless Brett can elaborate for the likes of someone with my knowledge...or lack thereof,

I had the same model as you, and surprise surprise the same thing happened to me. And yes, mine was the actuator also.
