When I was a young fella, many years ago, I riding my bike - a Kawasaki 350 twin - down a country road near Harvey in WA when an owl flew in from my right and it hit me fair in the mouth! I was probably travelling at 80 - 90kmh at the time. The other guys riding with me reckoned it flew off into the night in a fairly wobbly sort of way. We stopped for a few minutes and had a smoke to let the adrenaline subside a bit.

I was driving a truck westbound between Cunnamulla and Thargomindah one night, when two powerful owls flew up from the side of the road. They were spreadeagle, side by side across the windscreen. At first I thought the lights had failed.![]()
when i was younger and we were living in malaysia i came home from a weeklong school camp and mum says " ive got something to tell you" i replied " you've killed the cat havent you?"
well she didnt kill the cat but she sure did try, the cat used to sit up in the engine bay of this old volvo we had, anyways mum had been back in australia and forgot about the cat, came out turned the car on and she heard this thump and a hell of a scream, she turns the car off and gets out to see a bloody trail leading into the house.......she follows it and finds the cat, the fan belt had caught it by the ear and flung it across the engine bay........our cleaning lady had locked herself in her room because she thought that mum had been attacked by one of the seedy workman working over the back
