Have you been following the post re 'insecure loads'?
Sorry to hear about your loss, better that it was able to be stolen than you find it tangled up in a motorbike though.

I lost my bicycle helmet off the back of a trailer when I was 8.One of those bright yellow stackhats - never to be seen again.

already rang the police. For the record a tie down broke. I think it happened as i pulled over to let traffic passed it was a lot rougher than i thought
Had the load caused an accident/incident, the fact that the strap broke would not have been a defence. To appreciate the complexities of being a modern day truck driver, read the Code for Load Restraint. This guideline covers any load on any vehicle.
Then go on to Fatigue, Overdimention, Exess Mass, Dangerous Goods and a raft of others. When you have got through them, go back and start again, as the goalposts have been shifted.![]()
shonky!!
get over it man, didnt i just give you a new helmet???
now relax -stop slapping your head and sniffing - Dr Digger has it all under control!!!
(careful youll end up in the back of a ambulance..........OOPS TOO LATE!!!)
AND as to the hills hoist, man if you got caught losing a load like that the police would set it up again as a clothes line.....
so they could hang you out to dry!!
(sorry couldnt resist)
