Well just for an update, the boss rang and gave me a right lecture. "I have to work 7 days a week, can't get ahead, get behind because of these stupid seminars, stressed to the max... on & on & on. So I say, "well, change your job. "can't do that". Can't or dont' want to? We got into an enormous argument, to which I resigned. I seriously don't need this rubbish, I've got "grumpy" to contend with, my son's living in a Rebel house (could he couldn't find anywhere else & Tony won't have him living here.. plus he's recently lost his job. I give up. Thinking of moving to Tassie, only draw back, it's so damn expensive.

Don't suppose anyone's got any jobs going there?

What the??? No wonder you were feeling out of sorts! I hadn't actually checked this thread apart from a couple of early posts. sorry everything is piling up!!
Check out the law society down here, I also think I have one or two lawyers as customers if you need me to pass on a resume? What is your position, legal sec?

You guys should escape down here, there is some great areas around central midlands and the Noth too where they are crying out for residents to contribute to the community, a great lifestyle and most centres are an easy cummute to work, Take my Old man, commutes 3 days a week about 65km each way to Launceston, Lives at the foot of the great western tiers and Quamby Bluff in almost total isolation, beautiful surroundings
    This is a great state

Thanks heaps! I'm actually looking into moving to Tassie as we speak (can't remember if I mentioned before, but I used to live in Tassie for a year or so, before moving to the UK (what a hole of a place that is! - no offence to those who live there/love it etc)

Anyway, I'm investigating moving my stuff over, but it's so damn expensive.

However, if you're serious, I'll get my resume organised & send it to you. Yea, secretary, but more like dog's body to be occasionally kicked (mentally, not physically). Is your email address under your CP? Failing that, I'll get whatever job I can get, as long as it pays the rent!

Thanks, I need all the help I can get at the moment!

    Send away, jcilrs@bigpond.net.au

I'll print it up or forward it to a few on my client list, Don't know what will eventuate but if you don't have a go you'll never know! Try advertising in the Mercury (Southern) and Examiner(Northern) newspapers too, Saturday and Friday have a reasonable sized jobs and work wanted section. Work down here in some indutries has dried up a fair bit, but some are as yet unaffected by the GFC, that however may change soon I've been toying with staying the same size instead of expansion, in light of the coming hardtimes ahead. When times are tough, vehicle maintenance and mods get put off in preference to food on the shelves and mortgage payments etc.

    Good luck!
