I have been offered an ARB long ranger fuel tank at a good price but know nothing about them. Can anyone offer me any opinions on them. Do they decrease ground clearance ect.
I did a few searches first but found info mostly on the OL 45L tanks. Are they better?

I had a long ranger in my rangie. And also have the long ranger long range and auxiliary tanks in my disco I.
I also have long range automotive, 45 litre sill tanks in my rangie.
Neither long ranger tanks created any practical loss of ground clearance. They are well made and can be dragged on rocks if need be,
The sill tanks did reduce my belly clearance. The say there is no loss of ground clearance, but that is only partly true. The bottom of the tank hangs down below the chassis rail, the same amount as the chassis mounts for the front radius arms and rear trailing arms.
The sill tanks are harder to fill than the long range tanks, and need a fuel pump to transfer the fuel to the main tank.

I've got an 80 litre long ranger sill tank in the defender, as stated ground clearance is reduced but only marginally (just below the chassis rail). Mine is filled from under the drivers seat and uses a solenoid change over valve so no need to transfer fuel etc.

I have one on ,my 300 TDi 110
It is a lone ranger and i love it works well. Fill under the seat and swtich on the dash to change over from rear to front tank . The only problem was the wife, who after the 90, thought the front was the original and the rear was the extra tank. As that is the way it is in the 90
