A total of 16,647 haflingers were made.
The Aust Army had 50 (maybe only 46)
20 LWB Haflingers were sold in Aust

A quote from a forum on Aussie Numbers
    "
An Austrian "fanatic" (he travels all around the world to various Haflinger events and he has free access to old the records at Steyr Puch in Austria) can only find paperwork for around 770 units, but Barry Jones (the Managing Director of Haflinger Sales and Service, later Haflinger Pinzgauer Enterprises in the 60's-70's) has always insisted that just under 1000 (about 995) were imported...

Those that did come to Aust were initially complete units, later CKD assembled in Melbourne and there were US Pathfinders (either complete or CKD) were imported near the end of the production run.
