Black sheep??? Yeah i am...
Yup I did read it.
As I understand it, the unregistered car was driven from Tamworth in NSW to Vic. My point: it was fortunate that Clarkie was caught south of the border or it would have cost him a much higher price. That and the fact that a lot more people are being caught for unregistered vehicles because of the new technology so it's not worth it.
You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

As long as that black sheep doesnt end up wrapped around a wood tone pole. We do like having you around you know.
You can get an Interim Certificate to drive an Unregistered car in NSW, go to a Authorised Inspection garage tell them you need a pink slip for an Interim certificate to drive an unregistered car from point A to point B and as long as Brakes, tyres and lights work you will get a Pink Slip.
Take it to the nearest Rego office, tell them where you are taking the car from and to and how many days you need to do this, present the Pink Slip, pays your money and your covered. In Vic you only need to Fax details to rego office and they Fax details back, Regards Frank.
If it's any consolation, I found out last week a D4D prado has a top speed of 154kph in 5th on the rev limiter.
At least the 300TDI is quicker
I'm sure a few of us have probably done silly things in the past, nowdays silly is considered anti social. I've known Clarkie for quite a while and im pretty sure his attempt to find the top speed would have taken place on a deserted back road where he was likely the only one to suffer should things have gone wrong. On the bright side he made it home safely, wallet slightly lighter, maybe a little wiser and with a new project to grace the front lawn..
