Lightbulb Help me decide what to do

Ok, so the body of my Rangie is dying a slow death from cancer and the chassis is not much better.

So, that leaves me with some choices. My first idea was to just transfer my running gear into another Rangie. However, i would really like to build something more inline for touring.

So that started me thinking about a Def 130 DCPU.

But do I transfer my running gear into one or just buy a TD5 or 300TDI one. I would really like to keep my gear.

So help me work it out.

I didn't vote because you may decide either way but a 130 is the way to go with or without the old running gear..........touring wise lots of room

First thing to do is to change your location, otherwise whatever you choose it will go down the same path as your Rangie!

I reckon, just get a 300tdi Defender . As for the RR gear, I'd be inclined to put it in a Series Landy.

Tdi Defender for touring; 4BDT, coiled 109 (or 88) for your midlife crisis.

    Ash,

I voted for fitting the 4bd1T() into a 130DC, I can't think of a better touring combination. 35's will fit, BIG travel and decent offset etc is easy. AWESOME handling at speed on horrific roads, it is basically the combination I will eventually end up with...

Can you put baby seats in the back seat of a 130 DC? (I can't believe I just asked that)
