That's the third rear ball joint mount in a week!!! And AFAIR we haven't had one for years.

There was another thing a couple of weeks ago that was very rare and two happened in a week, but I am having a Seniors Moment and cannot remember what it was..

I don't think I've heard of anyone snapping an A-frame mount recently, not since Easter at least!

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

The joys of chooseing the right people to go with you

The reason for my name Rovercare, is I was always under, in, on one, keeping the things going, it was a **** take, that eventuated from Roadside assist, cloughy's repairs, etc, never has a vehicle been left stranded in my company, and when it has, its been into the night and promplty recovered the next day..........most times at a dear cost to me and my cars, dragging dead vehicles can be hazardous to drivelines

He did have a UHF,busted the antenna sunday arvo when I was out with him.Only was working when close by.
It wasnt the ball joint that failed,it snapped the retainer plate off the diff!!!
Looks like he has stuffed the pinion, plenty of play now, leaking oil badly despite new oil seal.
If any WA peoples have a spare 10spline diff,Jimmy would be VERY interested.

The lengths I will and do go to

    http://www.aulro.com/afvb/general-ch...-recovery.html

I've pulled up for complete strangers, so many times its not funny, I was once asked on the Hume, when I seen a tyre blow out on a VX commodore and backed back, to find a mum and 2 spunky daughters, "why would you stop and help?" after I'd changed they're spare over

I replied, Because I hope one day, someone will be kind enough to do the same for someone I cared for

But that's me, I pick up and stop for everyone, makes for some funny stories, especially after I drove a hitch hiker 1 hr out of my way....I needed time to think.......and he bought me a heap of scotch cans at the bottleo, funny dude

And another dude, showing me his drugs, after I told him I was going to pick up some "gear"....gear for work stupid, I was in a work car after all

I love it and don;t dwell on the bad ones I've helped......trust me, stop for everyone and it can be unpleasant, but not everyone is the same

BUT, If you wan;t a recovery from me, a beer is MANDATORY......even light if we're on the road

I havent recieved ANYTHING from Jimmy yet, will see how it goes.I did make sure he gave Lindsay a perfectly good mitsy turbocharger he has been promising to give him to make a jet turbine engine. He did get a carton of corona and a bottle of Beam to drink and Pizzas to eat with the mate who left him behind but helped recover the Rangie. He did help jim strip the diff out of the Rangie when we got it to Jimmys oldies place.
