well, inc, pedro , bigbugga, and a few more were the beginning of a great trip i joined in way back then, we were in it before the first major crash, and i don't remember who was around at the beginning, save to say i think i was amongst the first along with pedro and was it pheonix or ferno or did they come later.
i think i was number five member of daves new venture into this land rover world in which we and many others have become close friends.
the only bit i don't know now is when we first kicked off.
i suppose dave knows, as he set it all up, however we all lose so much information in 'puta crashes and upgrades etc. that history is lost so quickly.
anyway i love this community and am glad to see somany enjoying incisors persistance to keep it all running.
must be time to resubscribe or something.
I hadn't included the Markets section, that would make over 120 forums and sub-forums, as there are 31 sections in Markets alone.
I agree with you entirely, I use the Isuzu 110 and WA specific sections a lot, it's great for a specialist cars / areas such as that.
I think the problem I see, when I compare this site to others I use, is that there's quite a bit of overlap as to where a post can be placed. This could particularly confuse a new member (of which there must be many each day given the sites membership growth over the last 7 years). For example a technical question on D3's may end up in a regional section, when it would probably be more visible in the D3 specific forum.
There are also at least 5 forums (excluding markets) that haven't even had a single post so far this year! There are others with less than 10 posts in total. Surely they should drop off?
Anyway, I'm not complaining, it was just a general observation. The site is great, the people here are great, the atmosphere is great and well moderated. I'd like to give a big thanks to those who spend so much of their time (and probably money) to make it what it is.

to save me searching as I'm now curious which 5 forums are you talking about? that haven't had a post in I mean.![]()
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......
...I can remember that crash....

There are a couple of Club forums that don't have many, or recent posts.
Aside from that, last year's calendar vote forum and SA trip reports are the only ones that I can see - neither have had posts since last year.

I was around then, although without the '130' tag.
I didn't wander in much, and couldn't get in at all after that crash, the software (or someone else) just wouldn't let me back, it kept saying something like my email address was already in use, the member name I tried to use wasn't recognised bla bla bla so i just got frustrated.
I'd have a go at trying to log back in every so often and kept getting rejected, so it must've been after another big crash a few years back I was able to rejoin. The place was fairly rocking by that stage too, wheras early on it was like one post a day....![]()
Yeah thats what I thought it would have been, club forums are irrelevant as normal members cant access them you need to be a club member..well with a few you do anyway.
Calendar vote of course not but you have no need to surf that anyway..and I didn't even think that was visible to the public
I only asked as when I looked through nearly all had been written in, so I was curiousSo I thank you for satisfying that curiosity
