You won't regret buying a fridge ( at least a good one you won't regret) and the fridge for us was the key to longer camping trips as well the reason for dual batteries. I really do like the Explorer (not just the local manufacture thing) but finances just didn't allow it at the time. Besides we had a Rangie at the time and needed something fairly compact.

Thumbs up Engel is my vote

All I can say is that I have never regretted buying an Engel. The 'swing' compressor is also great if your generator is bit 'tempramental' as they will run fine on fluctuating voltages and crazy sinewaves without damage.

Yamaha EF1000 Inverter generators, with 'eco throttle',never again! Can ruin a weekend when camping in the tropics with fans early in the dry.

At least the trusty Engel kept the beers cold!

I take it the genset died then. I went into our local Ranger store the other day and the bloke in there tried to sell me a WAECO. He came out with the line that they now both use the same compressor. I said so you are telling me that the WAECO now use a Sawafuji SWING motor. His reply was...ummm, forget I just said that. You got me..... Dont get me wrong the WAECO's are a good unit, now that they are running the DANFOSS BD35 compressor. I just want something that is going to last!
