I'm afraid to admit, we're not doing at all well at the moment ... but that's the beauty of cricket, it can change so quickly. It's fascinating to watch the body language of the players & the psychology involved. It's interesting to see how the players cope under stress.

The goats really got up my goat when I got home from work, yet again, getting wood, cursing in the dark trying to find kindling, and Ziggy & Zelda wanted in. The only way I can get the wood in is to throw it in the door quickly before they can butt their way in, I haven't got the knack yet of having armfuls of wood, using my legs to stave off the goats, whilst trying to negotiate the door ... not too bad with the larger bits of wood, but throwing kindling all over the floor, now that's not fun to have to pick up. And the stupid deaf cat has to put its paw in the bowl of water & tip it all over the floor before it'll drink out of it ... I love lizards ... they're not bad eating either ...

Evening all, I have wonky wers again so I don't know how long I'll last tonight. No face lifts here, I'm too busy trying to keep my chest and lungs together, the lungs are doing their best to escape. To Lords, what a poxy paddock, it looks like the Holden sport ground behind the Elizibeth plant in Adelaide. It's not even level. I see, with some imagination, why you compare this odd game to chess; it's the light and dark green checks, I suppose. It's good to see we're off to a good start, I am as yet undecided as to which team I'm backing this time.

Oh yes, I see it now ... Ziggy & Zelda saddled up, jumping all around the furniture, with wood flying everywhere ... I think I may have to engage the services of a goat trainer first!

Yes, it is rather a poxy paddock, however, seems to be doing the trick for the Poms ... our bowlers are having terrible problems with the slope. It's not pretty to watch at the moment . At this rate, I fear the drought will be broken ... the Aussie's haven't lost a test at Lords since 1934.

Are goats combustable? I'm sure goats can be trained to tow trailers, something like trotting horses. You could rotate them, Ziggy on firewood detail, Zelda taking you to work. The following week swap the roles. This would be a novel sight in Sydney traffic, you should be able to sell advertising space ,as they do on busses

I saw a windscreen shade today, that BBB may prefer to my RED number. It was a greyish silver, with bullet holes all over it; and a scratched note "Sorry, wrong car"

Goat whisperer? There's a few things I told the goats this evening ... & I sure as hell didn't do any whispering

The neighbours already look at me weirdly when they see me taking them for a walk ... I don't think Sydney traffic would quite be able to cope just yet, apart from which they are rather skittish when outside their comfort zone. I made the mistake of letting them off their leads on one occasion, & they got spooked & dashed up a neighbours driveway, straight into the path of a dog. I had no idea they could run so fast until I had to round them up.

Good idea with the harnessing but then Skully would have small pieces of yellow painted Land Rover attached to their snouts/noses,depending what they have.
And skulls sticky taped to their hornsProcrastinating about colours and scones.

They should come good with blinkers or blindfolds

Shut the hell up Cooper, can't you tell I'm in a bad mood ... this is not going well for Australia ... he can't bowl with his finger bent all over the place.

Actually I did the very same thing playing football with my brother in the bedroom. I went to grab the ball, flung myself against the wall & my finger ended up at right angles ... it was most unpleasant.
