You wanna hear about pain? My rear diff recently decided bearings were uselsee and spat the lot. So i pulled it out, did the bearings and had the diff lock airline bronzed cause it had a little hole in it. So far so good. Put the diff back in blah blah blah....diff lock didn't work. pulled the diff out again to discover i had pinched the airline between the diff and housing. Got a new one. Put diff back together. Diff lock didnt work. The new piece i bought from arb was blocked with solder. They told me i would have to wait a week for new ones to come in. I batted my eyelids and showed some leg (quite a scary thought seeing how im a 37 year old bloke with very hairy legs) and they repaired my original one. somthing they said they just don't do. Learnt my lesson. Put diff lock together tested BEFORE i put it back in the housing. The upside of all this? I can now pull a diff center out in less than 30 mins. I still smell like diff oil and silicone.

Well at least you've accomplished something ... I've been supervised & still get into all sorts of problems, like spending hours trying to put the radiator back the wrong way. Why the hell would they put it under the thingy, it's much easier if it rests on the thingy & you can bolt it up a treat ... Tony finds it incredibly frustrating watching me ... & usually ends up rectifying my mishaps!
