    yes, problem is don't know how long since it's fed. But it sure as hell aint dying on my watch if I can help it ...

    Stems from race horse owners having a goat to keep the horse company,
    so if someone took the goat away it like the owner got aggitated.

    So if some one got my goat,that is the origin.

    Yes Panda,but sometimes things went wrong when someone took the horse instead of the goat as in Red Rum's case ! (has anyone seen him)

    Actually Grocky, I think they used to keep goats in with really skittish horses, to keep the horses calm. (Go figure ...) If someone wanted to sabotage a race, the goat would get pinched.

    No wonder they don't still do it ...

    There's a few geldings around that were stallions before the goat was tossed in the stable with them....

    Well, we haven't been able to get it to feed yet (don't even know yet if it's a girl or a boy ) it's just lying on the lounge. But having said that, it's quite used to its surroundings now, a lot calmer, and seems quite happy. You can sit & talk to it, patting it & stroking it & it's quite happy, which was an entirely different matter when we first caught it.

    Quite a smart little thing already, went walk about, obviously wanting a feed, tried to feed it, but no luck, so it roamed around the house a bit bleating (is that what goats do?) Anyway, I bleated back & after a bit it responded & followed my bleating, went straight back to its chair & went to sleep ...

    Will have to have a name starting with "Z" though ...

    Don't think will have any luck getting it to feed tonight, but will have to start force feeding it tomorrow, otherwise won't survive, it's way too young & they go downhill pretty fast. It's actually smaller than the cat.
