right then Ian,the Commer TS3 2stroke diesel ,with 3 cylinders each containing a pair of pistons arranged with the combustion chamber formed between the crown of the piston pair and the cylinder walls, what was the unique way it delivered it's power to the single crankshaft?
That should keep him busy for a bit.
What a lovely day it is today

Via gears that had to be timed.
The TS3 was reasonably popular here in the 50s-early 60s and were a match for Cummins and Detroit (also 2 stroke 53 & 71 ser) of the day. It was a shame the Commer chassis were no competition for the Yank trucks, many a Commer had its back broken trying to carry the same loads as Reo, Diamond, Inter 180 et al.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
